Walt Disney World’s EPCOT, or Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, is the second largest of the Walt Disney World theme parks in terms of size, and is jam-packed with amazing things to do and see. It's essentially the most "adult" of all of the Disney theme parks, with many different and interesting sights, and meal and beverage choices. Many locals list EPCOT as their popular park because of the opportunity to uncover something totally new on every visit, so roam around and be on the lookout. Resulting from actual size of the park, it is best to plan a couple of days for an EPCOT vacation if at all possible. Only then will you be able to take in a number of the points that set an EPCOT holiday getaway apart. EPCOT is divided into two main parts: Future World and the World Showcase. The front half of the park is dedicated to the celebration of technological know-how and human development, while the back pays tribute to world cultures in a World’s Fair model global community. In the whole park, the theme is the celebration of accomplishments. EPCOT sightseeing attractions are designed to capture our minds eye making use of cutting edge technology. Not like the other theme parks, in which each ride and show is a separate entity, just about everything at EPCOT is situated in a pavilion full of smaller attractions. If you're a new guest to EPCOT, I am going to provide some tips for what I feel are “can’t miss” attractions, and finally offer EPCOT after closing, an experience not in many Disney travel guides. Soarin’. This import from Disney’s California Adventure was put into The Land pavilion in Future World in 2005 and instantly took over as the park’s must-see attraction that a majority of visitors rush to as soon as the park opens. This is a wonderful experience that offers guests the chance to board a giant hang glider and soar above California by way of an enormous IMAX screen. The motion is authentic, the musical score is charming, as well as the sensory components (like sea breezes of air and smells of orange groves) increase the worth of the entire encounter. IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. This timeless EPCOT nighttime fireworks show may be a quintessential Disney spectacular. No characters or motion picture music is engaged, but an original moving score guides the display as it speaks of how the many nations world wide can unite to help one another. Its music is among the best found in any Disney park. Its rousing climax filled with colors and explosions is quite a spectacle, a must-see way to conclude an EPCOT holiday getaway. Spaceship Earth. Just what it does so very well now is exactly what it has carried out remarkably well for 27 years: It sets the tone for the whole theme park. It provides a well-told story of where we've been, where we are and where we might be going. Should you be going to the Magic Kingdom on a day when it's open later than EPCOT, plus you've got a car, makes use of the monorail’s layout. Park your car at Epcot, then grab the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. Monorails continue to run right until about two hours following the final park closing, so delight in your evening while in the Magic Kingdom then grab the monorail back to EPCOT to get your vehicle. The monorail line operates by way of part of EPCOT, providing the opportunity to see the park lit up but completely lacking guests. The view is quite beautiful. These are just a few examples of of the many attractions available for an EPCOT vacation. My name is Jim O'Connell, and I hope that you will enjoy your time there as much as I have.
