Two months ago, ABC has announced that Lost has been renewed for a fourth season. Following this, ABC Entertainment president Stephen McPherson has announced that Lost will come to an end during the 2009-2010 season with a highly anticipated finale. With an average of 15 million viewers per episode, many Lost fans will most probably deem this news as something very disappointing. Citing the words of Lost’s executive producer Damon Lindelof, he has "always envisioned Lost as a show with a beginning, middle, and end," and that declaring that the Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning serial drama is ending would imply that viewers would soon have some comfort of knowing that many unanswered questions and mysteries will finally be answered. Having this in mind, maybe Lost coming to an end isn’t such a bad idea after all. Looking bad Lost has given its viewers some tough questions to crack, and for some time, the show has also become an endless pit of baffling story lines. But with the culmination of the popular series, viewers will finally have a huge serving of clarity and enlightenment, which will come in the form of huge discoveries and answer to the mystery that engulf the lives of the Lost characters, The Others, and other island enigmas that attracts viewers with curiosity. And having three more seasons comprising of 16 episodes seems to be sufficient enough to cover all that needs to be showcased for a satisfying Lost ending.
