Ever since Survivor aired in 2000, the show has always tried to make an effort to showcase diversity among its contestants, not to mention the distinctness of the setting that will serve as the grounds of the competitive reality series. Over the years, Survivor has tapped the fields of Borneo, Africa, Thailand, Australia and most recently Fiji …however this time Survivor will take its viewers to China. Meanwhile, Survivor is looking for possible participants worthy of its sixteenth season. Previous contestants have been discovered and recruited through various approaches like looking into MySpace profiles or acquiring a contact list for an association. Although the ways of discovering possible contestants may seem simple and typical, there is nothing easy about the process one has to go through in order to penetrate the game. As other Survivor contestants have mentioned, the application process involves a meticulous and thorough procedure. Aside from the written application, one has to submit a video application. In addition, the selected candidates must go through rigorous health examinations to prove that one is physically and mentally fit. Backgrounds will also be checked. What’s complicated about the screening process is that nearly 800 possible applicants can be requested for an interview in person in selected places like Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Las Vegas, Dallas, Detroit among others. Unfortunately, if you don’t live in the said vicinities, you have to take a trip at your own expense. Furthermore, selected contestants will be out of work for at least 7 weeks, so it will be an advantage to have flexibility at work. Survivor has featured so many seemingly odd players, which confirms that anyone has a chance to get in and linger in the game as long as you can play the game right. Just look how far it got Yau-Man and Cassandra. For more resoureces about Survivor and if you want to read the full story of CBS Looking for Next Sole Survivor please visit http://www.buddytv.com
