Many people choose Greece as a holiday destination and there is no wonder why. This country offers us such a variety of pleasure for the eyes, the mind, and the body that in the end we become addicted to Greece. One place in particular that is worth mentioning is Parga. This is a city in the north- western part of this country, a port to the Ionian Sea. Many great holydays were spent there by me and some of my friends and believe me when I tell you I can not wait to go there again. Since I started traveling, I always wanted to visit this country. However, there are so many great places to visit that I just could not make up my mind. That was until I heard about Parga. One of my friends went with his family on a holiday in Greece. While he was there he discovered Parga and he insisted I go there because I would never regret this choice. Naturally, because I wanted to see what he was raving about, I packed my bags and I was off to Greece on what turned out to be one of the best holidays of my life. I have had my share of good holidays so far, but never like this one. There is something about Parga that makes you remember that city forever. The history of this city is amazing and this town had to struggle a lot to make it through history. Threatened by the Turks, the people of Parga signed a treaty with Venice. This is why the architecture of this town has a big Venetian influence. The port that lies today has been built and demolished three times, and it stands as a proof that Parga is a city that made it through time and will continue to amaze us for many years to come. There are small, crowded streets, the white houses, the sandy beaches and the cool breeze that makes your hair blow in the wind are just some of the things that made me fall in love with this city of Greece. Besides the architecture that is absolutely amazing, the castle and the houses that are build in such a way that they render you speechless, the surroundings of Parga are also worth seeing. This is one of the best holidays that I have had, not only because I was won over by this amazing city, full of mystery , yet somehow so real and touchable, but also because the surroundings of this town are amazing. One of the must sees of this part of Greece is the Nekromantion of Ephyra ruins. Then, as you travel along the coast, you can find the city of Glyki that is crossed by a river many believe to be the well known Styx River. Nikopolis is then next. This is a roman city where the battle of Acrium took place. So now you can see why one of the best holidays of my life was in Parga. This city takes your breath away and when you are there you find yourself only to lose yourself again in the beauty of this place. If you plan any holidays this year, make sure that Parga is on the list. For more resources about Holidyas in Parga please visit this weblink http://www.pargainfo.gr
