Respect For Others Begins At Home… By Larry Whittler I woke up this morning to a video of a man beating up a ninety year old man; the thug wanted his car… It also showed a group of people parked in the next space, no one lifted a finger to help… This was followed by a story about the rape of a seventy year old woman… I was born in 1941, we were taught by our parents to respect our elders and to help others in need… I might not be as shocked if this happened in a third world country… but America… come on, I spent time as a youth in Detroit… You didn’t have this kind of behavior… If it did happen it would not have been tolerated by the community, you would have heard an out cry that would be heard in the next state. Where the Jackson’s and Sharpton’s now… Why aren’t they calling for justice? This is not the America I grew up in…. Home town values thrown aside for drugs and self serving politician’s… You can’t tell me that it can’t change… It starts at home; it’s the parent’s responsibility to change future generations…. It’s been proven that the lack of discipline at home leads to a permissive society…. New York Mayor Giuliani ran on the platform of decreasing crime in New York City, people said he was crazy… Today you can walk through Time Square without drugs and violence… If he can do it in New York you can do it any where….
