Politicians: Quit teaching my grand children that lying is alright…. By Larry Whittler I was always warned by Mom & Dad of people who would say anything in a conversation to win you over to their way of thinking… They always warned me about the ones that would flip flop back and forth on their views to win the argument… Son, my Dad would say: “Stay away from these people; they will use you for their own gain. With the Medias long memory you can’t get away with the flip flop. What I don’t get is why people continue to follow people that use lies and deceit…. Did I miss something, is truth and justice just for the masses… Liar’s, cheats, politicians and celebrities get a free roll, no penalty… Yet you or I can forget a car insurance payment and they are ready to throw us in jail. Don’t get caught without your seat belt, a hefty fine! And don’t get caught drinking and driving; they will put you under the jail that is unless you’re a celebrity. Oh! Politicians live in this other country where they get to say: Do what I tell you, but those rules don’t apply to me… Isn’t America Great! Even with all this adversity I wouldn’t live anywhere else… I just want the America I was born in! I don’t want polls asking a thousand people a question and printing the results that are supposed to tell three hundred million Americans what they are thinking; stop putting words in my mouth with polls that endorse lies…. I wasn’t born yesterday… I want the slander and the name calling to quit, I want Americans to stand together and demand that the use of lies to ruin someone’s creditability for their own personal gain be stopped. Yes I’m talking about politicians; I want the laws in this country to apply to everyone including those that make them. I want the media to report the news, not create it. I want our educational system to teach our kids about American Government and American History. I want the 3R’s back in the educational system so our kids will be smart enough to recognize a Con-man. I want our kids high on life not drugs. We have a law for everything, we don’t need more laws! Our government needs to enforce the laws we have; they could if they wanted to. If we can go around the world and secure borders thousands of miles away we could certainly secure our own borders. The American people are tired of bunny trails! I want my rights as they are; quit whittling away my rights in the name of political correctness. I’m not fooled by terms like “no child left behind” or the “fairness doctrine”. I want black leaders to stand up for their race and quit selling out for personal gain. I want our elected officials to stand up for America, not support our enemies. I want Americans to smarten up! And Politicians who lie and cheat should be tarred and feathered and run out of town, just like they did it in the old days. I want my grand kids to grow up in America, not a third world country.
