Chances are they will be cheaper, so you’ll save a few bucks and get a feel for the local environment at the same time. Tip number two is to order the special. Daily specials usually run a few dollars less than regularly priced menu items. Also, if you’re at a local place then the special may be a dish unique to the location, which will give you a chance to experience the culture’s cuisine. Travel tip number three is to eat according to your agenda. This means that if you’re going to be sitting in a car all day, then don’t order biscuits and gravy. If you know you’ll be active for most of the day walking around and exploring the sites, then you can choose menu items with a higher calorie count because you know you’ll be burning them off right away.
