Singer Sugandha Mishra, little wonder Avneet Kaur and stand-up comedian Balraj Syal, all three from Jalandhar, are making their presence felt on television, and how! Dancing Queen Nine-year-old Avneet Kaur, a student of class 4 at Police DAV Public School, has bagged the second chance to participate in Zee TV's show 'Dance Ke Superstars', a dance reality show on air where superstars of Dance India Dance (DID) season 1 and 2 are together in the dance challenge. Avneet and her 'partner Atul are the captains of DID Season 1 team, Josh. Her father Amandeep Singh says, "Avneet is taking her captaincy responsibly and is happy to be back on the same stage. Now, she will be judged by Shiamak Davar and Remo D'souza, which she feels is a blessing." Recalling the best comment that she got on the show, Avneet says, "I loved it when Abhishek Bachchan said that he will see me as a star in the future for sure, While Farah Khan always tells me that my expressions can do any and everything." Comedy King Balraj Syal is having his first big exposure on television with Comedy Ka Maha Muqabla, the new comedy show on Star Plus. He says, "I am lucky that the Laughter Challenge team chose me to be a part of actor Shreyas Talpade's team, 'Shreyas Chi Mandli'. I am associated with Star Plus ever since I participated in the Great Indian Laughter Challenge, season 4. It was 'after reviewing my performance in 'Laughter Ke Phatke' last year that the channel finalised me for the show. I was also a creative writer on Star One's, 'Hans Baliye', which was won by Gurpreet Ghuggi and his wife." Syal is sure that this show will bring more recognition to him as a performer and a stand-up comedian. Working with Shreyas and sharing the same platform with judges like Arshad Warsi, Shekhar Suman and Raveena Tandon has been a great experience for him. Shares he, "It is an ultimate experience for me. Since I am a fresh talent, everybody on the sets keeps guiding me. Even my companions in the team, including Roshni Chopra, Rajesh and Raju Srivastava, are great to work with." On the best compliment that he has got, Syal, quips, “Arshad Warsi once told me that my voice is ‘buland awaaz’.” Syal is also a part of Punjabi film 'Dharti' and has signed another Punjabi film directed by Sukhminder Dhanjal, titled 'Kabaddi Once Again. Singing Sensation Sugandha Mishra, popular for her infectious smile and versatile singing on Zee TV's reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar 2010 is also popular for her mimicry skills on Star Plus' comedy show, Comedy Circus Ke Tansen. For her, the best compliment came when producer Vipul Shah told her that it was only after noticing her mimicry and singing skills on TV that he thought of the ' concept of blending singing with comedy. Mishra says; "Musical comedy was not at all challenging as I started with it in Great Indian ... where I mimicked various singers and actresses. I got an advantage in both the fields because both singing and comedy are my passions." She adds, "I am lucky to share the stage with singers like Hard Kaur, Abhijeet Sawant, Shibani Kashyap and Daler. Mehndi."
