Cooker Hood Check List If you one of the many customers pondering on the purchase of quality cooker hoods, then you should consider a few aspects carefully before actually buying anything. If you do not follow some good tips, you might actually end up buying something that you may soon have to regret later. As such, it is important not to make hurried or haphazard decisions. Therefore, it is good to make a checklist of points that you need to verify the cooker hood that you are proposing to purchase. One of the foremost in any customer's checklist is the dimensions of the cooker hood which should be based on the actual size of the kitchen. If there is a mismatch, a customer may end up with an oversized cooker hood which should be avoided. Then consider the extraction rate expected from your cooker hood. The powerful ones ensure that contaminants are dispersed harmlessly. The filter saturation system is also important to determine quality cooker hoods. Cooker Hoods Quality cooker hoods perform well if they use the most appropriate filter saturation systems such as grease and charcoal. If you have an external facility, then it is best to opt for a ducted model which is generally considered as the most effective in extracting and dispersing odours and grease. There are also different types of hoods that customers can opt for. These include for instance the integrated hoods and island hoods. The former is ideal to be installed under a row of kitchen cupboards or into a chimney breast. They can be easily fitted into enclosed spaces and are designed to extract or re-circulate air. They are finished on only the visible part which is the underside. In contrast, island hoods are suited for kitchens where cooker hoods are positioned away from walls. They are finished on all sides and not just on the underside like integrated hoods considering that they are visible on all 4 sides. These types of quality cooker hoods are more in sync with modern style.
