‘You haven't seen a tree until you've seen its shadow from the sky’ - Amelia Earhart Yes, we are talking of the ideas of nature and beauty, surreal and real, tree and sky, shadow and life; but we are also imagining this sight and thought on a sunny Sunday afternoon, with a cup of bed pekoe tea and the good old English breakfast, looking out of the good old, classic sash window of my room, and admiring what nature has bestowed upon us – sunrise, chirping birds, gourmet taste, and what not. But while in my own world, my human eyes (which can’t stand imperfections, though it is by no means perfect in itself), I just realized we needed replacement sash windows as soon as possible! After all, my eyes would just keep wandering there from now on, until I get them fixed, and I am in no mood to stare in one direction, since my eyes have always been in a habit to move here and there. So over the next one week, our task was to get our sash windows replaced (yes our beautiful vintage sash windows) and progress with a different style or stick to the same style in a different variety. While I went out for some research on the various kinds of windows and all that jazz in the market, I came across this concept so much so that I decided I will not get windows! Well, don’t panic, I have thought of something much better, and enthralling for my eyes than a window. It would solve a dual or maybe a multipurpose for me – the bi folding doors! They are simply easy to open, give in more sunlight, and you can have a direct access into your backdoor garden or back street or wherever, and they make your house or room look more beautiful, and bigger, and of course it is much better than a window ventilation! So with this, I don’t just get to see the half tree (look at the way I am cribbing at the previous tree), I get to see its ‘full’ shadow, get the oxygen and get a whole new fresh look and feel to my room – something which my poetic heart had always yearned for. Sundays will be days I will look forwards to more often now! Show off season begins!
