Being one of a kind is probably one of the most sought- after things at the moment. Everybody desires to be creative and special, but only few actually succeed. There are many independent artists out there who believe that their work can not even be compared with the work of others for they are unique. However, I have stumbled many times upon these so called independent artists who have something to give to the world and my disappointment was beyond expectations. I do not doubt the fact that there are people out there with a word to say in fashion, music or any other form of art, but unfortunately I was not lucky enough to discover them, or at least that what I thought. As I was surfing the net in my desperate attempt of finding an online store that sells art not imitations, I came across a site that I never knew existed before. This online store provided everybody with services and products from independent artists. Moreover, you as an artist could place your stuff there and show the world your creations. This online store is actually much more than that, it is a starting point for every young artist who has an idea and has the means to turn that idea into a project, but lacks the methods of putting himself/ herself out here. Being an independent artist is not an easy job and it can be overwhelming at times. Many quit, others sell out and give up their uniqueness so they can have a shot of being seen and the list could go on. However, once I discovered this site I realized that there are people who care about independent artists and there is at least one online store that promotes these artists, given they are any good. Because the point that I have not reached yet is about how good as an artist is the person who wants to be seen or heard. Sometimes being talented is not enough and if you do not want to give up your ideas and start being a little more commercial, you will not be accepted as an artist and this is how independent artists are born. However, not everybody can be an artist and this is a fact. Some may have a little talent in them but not enough to succeed in this business. The online store that I found gives independent artists the chance to show the world what they can do, but as you can imagine it is a little difficult to get there as well. If you want to get there you have to be good, you have to have talent, you have to be your own person and most of all not to be afraid to show everybody what you are made of. This is what a true independent artist does and that is what the online store that I found promotes: art and artists who have something to say. If you believe you have it in you then give it a shot and see if being an artist is your calling. If not, you can always enjoy a little shopping knowing that all the stuff you buy is one of a kind.
