This is what the judges said about Philip Harris: "The Philip Harris range addresses a nationwide shortage of practical resources to support practical science teaching. The resources have obviously been created by passionate people with a love of science to support the raising of standards in science teaching. The science and primary science resources meet the needs of the science curriculum at a number of levels and allow students to create their own practical experiments within the safety of the classroom environment. The products are easy to use with sound durable construction making them ideal for the use in a dynamic classroom. Philip Harris has developed their company with the learner at the centre and the school as the customer. This is evident in their customer policies and care. They have an excellent customer focussed technical team, staffed by scientists that can turn around school based problems within 24 hours. This gives schools the security to purchase when they do not have the necessary technical experience to solve issues themselves.
