Ever notice when talking with someone, what they think you just said, was not at all what you just said. I had that happen a while ago, and what I was saying, and what they actually heard, was not at all what I said. When I do couples counseling, I will repeat back what each party said, and ask each party what they think they heard from the other person. It is very shocking when you listen to what a person may have heard, and what was really said, and the two NOT matching up at all. In order to communicate better, stop putting words in peoples mouth, that they never said. You are either hearing with the Holy Spirit, or hearing with your ego, in which case you will be making up what you think you heard from and ego position. Stop, get clear, and allow the Spirit to lead! Too often you are only doing interpretations on what you are hearing, and you are not really listening. Interpretations are NOT facts!
