Lansdowne is a pretty hill station in the Pauri Garhwal region of Uttaranchal. The weather condition remains perfect for traveling throughout the year. The driving distance between New Delhi and Lansdowne is 295 kilometers and it will take you anywhere between 6-7 hours to get to the tiny hamlet. You can even drive down to Lansdowne from Dehradun, the distance is 170 kilometers and it will take you somewhere between 2-3 hours to get there. There are few private hotels, lodges, guest houses and resorts for tourist accommodation in Lansdowne. Besides these there is a PWD inspection bungalow, Army Welfare Board Rest House and Uttaranchal Forest Department base camp where you can stay with prior arrangement. There are not very fancy restaurants in Lansdowne, but at the main market you will find many small restaurants that offer a variety of cuisines.
