A patent is a protection or a shield that companies use to manage their intellectual property. Owning the exclusive rights to a variety of inventions or formulas a company is able to license the use of their designs and receive a fee for allowing others to produce the goods or materials that are owned by the patent holder. Used in every field of exploration, technology and science, patents are able to generate millions of dollars to the holder of the original paperwork. However when taking a proven design overseas, the US patent office is unable to protect the rights of inventors and scientists outside the US. As each country has its own registration and patenting procedures that can be employed to protect the inventor it is necessary for international corporations to acquire a unique patent from each country that they are doing business in. By submitting applications for international patents with the governments of each country that will be home to a manufacturing facility or laboratory, companies that are already protecting their assets on American soil are able to enjoy the benefits of licensing their work to companies abroad that will pay them a fee for their ideas and inventions. Because translation of each patent is required for submission in the language of the country where a business is setting up work, the need to hire a native language speaker is an important component of the application process. Hiring educated individuals that can provide insight and understanding to the work that the individual patents address, it is possible to make a very accurate duplicate of the original patent in a foreign tongue. Using the resources of an international translation service to fulfill the goal of acquiring international patents companies that are expanding their operations into foreign markets are able to keep their intellectual property properly protected. With the new patent obtained by someone that speaks the language fluently, companies that are moving into new territories are able to maintain their right to license their designs, products and formulas with the knowledge that their work is protected by international law. Multiling is a international patents optimizing translation for leading innovators. (http://www.multilingip.com)
