Perversion at its Best. Take away my childhood, mold me in your hand. You know I’m not an adult, for this is an adult plan. Mothers think their babies are better than the rest Living out their own child’s life, through their passed regrets. A child in mother’s favor is test children want to win. Coaxed with toys and treats the parents one deceiving sin. How happy for a moment when they can sit and play Then taken all away. We have miles to travel,”No toys for you today”. As pliable as putty, soft and easy to mold. “Toddlers in Tiaras”, playing dress up, they are told. Walking back and forth upon the stage in a perverted way. Pleasing judges and their mothers for the trophy of the day. Fat mothers sway their bodies, the child copies with a smile How cute, they look to mother or a predator’s sleazy eye. Make up, plastered on their face, big hair lacquered hard and dry, While invisible, the predator’s watches as their child walks by. Children should not be sexy, displayed in such a way. The toddler does as it is told; mothers love is all they crave. They may look cute and love to dance, as mother gives a wave. They give up a special childhood, to have to live this way. Cheap media brings this hourly show, where parents rant and rave, Their money times and troubles made for the child, who did not win today. They did not win the trophy even though the toddler really tried and cries, This is child abuse, as parents shout we know what is implied. Anxiety and pressure is filled within a face to please their mother every time When life can seem so bleak. What self–esteem is grown when forced to win? What happens to that precious seed, and makes their life so cheap? We break that spirit of that dear child that Jesus finds so meek. Written by Susan Oliver. A Fun Gift Shop
