How to Burn Games Onto a Disc for PS2 Playstation 2 games can be expensive to replace if they have gone out of print or are hard to find. You can preserve your PS2 games by backing them up with a DVD-R. Burning your PS2 games will allow you to keep the original disc in its case to prevent scratches and other damage. The process doesn't take long and it can help you avoid the expense of replacing your games. Instructions 1 Insert your PS2 game into your computer's DVD drive. 2 Launch your DVD burning software. This software should have the ability to make ISO images, the format you will need to back up your games properly. 3 Click the tab at the top of the window for your DVD burning software that reads "Create ISO."
