Following two seasons of absence from the hit show 24, Reiko Aylesworth has moved on to another highly-anticipated series, ER. Michael Ausiello of TV Guide recently reported that the actress has signed on to be a part of season 14 of the medical drama. For four seasons of 24, Reiko Aylesworth played the tough and stoic Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) agent and eventual boss, Michelle Dessler. In the long running and multi-awarded ER, she is to play the new chaplain of County General. Aylesworth will be playing a woman who will be administering to the spiritual needs of the patients, doctors and staff of the hospital, but that doesn't mean that she'll be cloaked by a habit or bound by dogmatic laws on romance and celibacy. In fact, ER's new preacher will be leading a normal life and will be clothed in provocative attire. She will also be providing a little spice in the romantic life of Dr. Tony Gates (John Stamos). Following the death of her character on 24's season 5, Reiko Aylesworth has appeared on episodes of Knights of Prosperity and the short-lived Conviction, with fellow 24 stalwart, Eric Balfour. She also appeared as guest star on popular series such as Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. As for film, the 34-year-old actress from Chicago is currently involved in two projects that are in its post-production stages. On the dramedy The Understudy, Aylesworth plays Kinsy alongside ER co-star Gloria Reuben. She also appears as Kelly O'Brien in the sequel to 2003's Alien vs. Predator entitled Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem. The movie, which is also known as AVP2, will be released in December this year. The Emmy award-winning ER shall be returning to the tube on Thursday, September 27 at 10/9c.
