On the TLC reality television series Miami Ink, viewers became acquainted with the predominantly male crew of the 305 Ink tattoo parlor, and their work as body artists for various celebrities. But aside from their appearances on TV, the men of Miami Ink also own a joint business venture known as the Love Hate Lounge, a nightclub and bar where partygoers and aficionados of the nightlife are likely to find members of the show’s cast hanging out. In a recent interview, club co-owner and Miami Ink co-star Chris Nunez dished out details on the lounge, such as its inspirations and its unique offerings that set it apart from the rest of Miami’s thriving social scene. The Love Hate Lounge can be found within the steamy streets of South Beach, Miami, Florida. Aside from being a place for chilling out with a strong cold one after a long, hard day at work, it is also a showcase for tattoo designs which draw from the work of Miami Ink stars Chris Nunez and Ami James. It has also been described as a bar with a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere, serving an assortment of drinks and featuring a wide range of musical choices, among them rock, hip hop, hits from the 90s, and top 40 picks. Nunez has stated that their main approach to the lounge was a place where he and his own cohorts would love to relax, a club house of sorts where they could kick back and simply unwind. He also explained that the name they choose stemmed from the work and jobs that people like them had. Sometimes they loved it, sometimes they hated it. Yet while the Love Hate Lounge opens its doors to people from every walk of life, Nunez also explicitly said that it definitely isn’t a venue for unruly and wild behavior.
