South India is rich in tourist destinations both spiritual and natural beauty. After visiting most of the tourist destinations places near to Bangalore like Mysore, Coorg and Ooty now, we planned for Tirupati for a road trip. To start with we hired taxi from Bangalore to Tirupati online. These days booking a cab or taxi online is very easy and lots of online portals are providing these services. But, one should be cautious enough in selecting these cab vendors as they may cancel their services just hours before the schedules. Similarly to hiring cab from Bangalore to Mysore. we hired from the same vendors in Bangalore called BookCab. Bangalore to Tirupati is almost 260 km drive through the highways and dusty bypass roads. Starting from Bangalore it goes via Kolar, Palamaner, Chittor and finally reaches Tirupati. From Bangalore to Chittor is National Highway 4 and from Chittor take the bypass road that leads to Tirupati via Chandragiri. Tirupati is one of the most famous and rich temples in India where Lord Venkateswara is the main deity (also called lord Balaji in some areas). The temple premise is called Tirumala which is hilly area where you can find seven hills in total and so the temple is called Seven Hills Temple. People across the globe flock to Tirupati round the clock and one should be careful while planning a pilgrimage to Tirupati with respect to lodging and boarding. Though the cottages are available on the hills in Tirumala yet they are less in number and first-come first-serve basis. Even you can find hotels in Tirupati too. Buses and Cabs are 24hours available to the temple from any place in Tirupati which is around 15km. On the hills there are few more places to visit and you can book cabs there itself on the hills. Apart from the Tirumala temple over the hills one more tourist attraction is ISCON temple where Lord Krishna is worshipped. Near to Tirupathi two more tourist places are located namely Sri Kalahasti and Kanipakam where Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesh are worshipped respectively.
