Ammonia Solution Fill a spray bottle with half a cup of lukewarm water and add 1 tablespoon of clear ammonia. Spray the stain with the cleaning mixture, but Monica advise you not to soak the carpet, because this can lead to mould growth later. Once you've applied the ammonia solution, allow it to sit for 10 minutes and then gently rub the stain. To rinse use a damp cloth. These simple three cleaning solution can help you maintain your carpet clean yourself.
