A chocolate is a food derived from the seeds of the Theobroma cacao tree cultivated in the tropical regions of Mexico, Central and South America. It may be used in a raw or processed form. It has been grown in these regions for more than 3 million years now. The seeds of cacao are characterized by a bitter taste and they are fermented to bring out the flavour in them. Chocolate has become a very popular type of food available in different flavors all over the world. It is an ideal gift for all ages and is suited for all occasions and festivals. There are many companies in the market which offer chocolates in a very wide range including variations in shapes, size, flavour, ingredients, packaging and presentation. A chocolate is a perfect gift to express your love for the other person and a good way to make someone happy. One kind of variation of chocolates is liquor chocolate. Liquor chocolate comes in a wide variety and is also available as candies. This kind of chocolate has liquor filled inside it and the chocolate covers it on top.The various types are vodka filled chocolates, rum filled chocolates or wine filled chocolates. It is also available in the form of chocolate bottles filled with liquor.A variation of liquor chocolate is a bottle of chocolate champagne filled with various types of liquor mixed in small quantities. Another kind of chocolate which is very popular is dark chocolate.Dark chocolate is considered to be a healthy chocolate. It lowers the blood pressure, improves eyesight and cardiovascular health and is also good for the brain. The goodness of dark chocolate can be attributed to its high content of natural antioxidants. This kind of chocolate has the highest content of cocoa seeds. In fact, pure dark chocolate is derived from cocoa beans. The bare minimum contents of a dark chocolate are cacao beans, sugar, and emulsifier like soy lecithin to retain the texture and added flavors like vanilla, butterscotch or other fruit flavors. Dark chocolate has a lot of variations like the unsweetened, semi sweet or bittersweet ones which should not have any milk content. Yet another kind of chocolate is Easter chocolate. Easter chocolate comes in the form of Easter eggs. In the nineteenth century in Europe, chocolate Easter eggs were made for the first time. It was considered a new piece of confectionary made in a creative and artistic way and various countries evolved it in their own way. The present day Easter chocolate has evolved as a result of two important improvisations in the history of chocolate-the separation of cocoa butter from the bean done by Dutch people by inventing a press in 1828 and the use of pure raw cocoa done by a renowned chocolate company in 1866.The high demand of this chocolate significantly increased the demand for Easter eggs. These kinds of chocolates are mainly milk chocolates. Russ Murray is the owner of this website and writes articles for his own website.
