Bo-Kaap properties in Multicultural Cape Malay

Finance & Investment
Bo-Kaap is the area of Cape Town, situated in South Africa, surrounded by the Table Mountain range. It is also called the Malay Quarter. It is found in the Signal Hill and is the historical center of Cape Malay. It is a multicultural area and its streets have a romantic architecture.

People can find here the Nurul Islam Mosque which was founded in 1844. The oldest building in the region it is the Bo-Kaap Museum which dates in 1760s and its the result of the Muslim influence in the area. The Museum gathers old pieces of furniture dating in the 19th century, including dining tables, Cape Regency style in chairs and chamber decorations.

The residents are mostly the descendants of free slaves which originated either in Africa, Asia or various islands. The early Muslim settlers had small businesses of tailoring, carpentering, shoe making and building. The economic evolution of the Cape Town and after solving the racial situation, Bo-Kaap has become a highly appreciated place to live in for its landscapes and for its unique architecture. Bo Kaap has become a very appreciated holiday destination and travel agencies are gathering many visitors each year.

Purchasing a boo kaap property has made many buyers interested. The prices are still very good and the benefits are amazing. The houses here have a unique structure and they are either British or Dutch types of houses. Most of the houses are semi-detached but spacious yards and gardens with free standing homes are also available. The Facade of the houses has impressed visitors and viewers from all over the world. Georgian windows, cape Dutch type of windows, door and fanlight, the exquisite Georgian door and fanlight, beautiful staircases, strong foundations with mortar and wood ceilings make these Boo Kaap properties intriguing and enjoyable to use.

The Cape Malay cuisine has also a unique style since it has embedded Asian, African and European influences to redefine the entire concept of food and culinary customs. This is one good reason why people enjoy living in Cape Malay or at least having a cozy Boo Kaap property to enjoy at holidays.

When it comes to holidays and partying, the Boo Kaap enjoy their Coon Carnival when freed slaves celebrated their only day off from work. Nowadays Cape Malayans dress colorfully, sing, dance and walk together.

Boo Kaap properties in the residential suburb of Cape Malay are found in a great variety of facilities and prices. Many homesteads date back to late 1700s but offer the great advantage of closure to advantageous up markets.

In the first Saturday of the month, the Boo Kaap Crafts and Food Market Day one has the privilege of tasting "curry in a hurry" , enjoying other traditional foods, dried fruits, clothing and jewelry. The Boo Kaap Cultural and Heritage Gateway is a nonprofit organization which focuses on job creation and skill development.

As one can observe, enjoying a boo kaap property means enjoying a truly multicultural experience.
