International companies who have tried out the concept of hiring a virtual employee to handle their outsourced work are not just singing all the way to the bank but are also a hugely relieved lot. And the reason for this lies in the fact that they are completely spared the horrors of government regulation and red tape that is an intrinsic part of any hiring and employment process.

India is the world's favourite outsourcing destination and not for its abundant talent pool and energetic and skilled workforce alone. Almost all facets of outsourcing are available for the clients, be it the freelancing model, the outright project outsourcing or the dedicated virtual employee model. All serve various segments of the business industry but the one that probably results in a true bonanza of advantages is the dedicated virtual employee model of outsourcing.

The virtual employee model works on the concept of providing a client with their very own dedicated human resource, to be used in the optimum way possible. This virtual employee works in a dedicated manner, full-time and exclusively for that client alone and no one else. 

Consider the implications in hiring a new recruit for an average US or UK-based company.

  1. Overheads go up, even if the company hires just one extra employee. This translates into extra office space, additional hardware and software.
