Examples of good parenting of children with a learning disability show that children often have extra energy so organize activities that allow them to burn it off. It helps calm them and help them sleep better. Learn to use positive reinforcement by praising a child instead of criticizing them. Do not underestimate what your child can accomplish with assistance, perseverance, and determination. Your child may learn and behave differently, but with the proper guidance, there is no reason they cannot grow up to take advantage of special programs offered at College for learning disability and be a fully functioning adult.
