If small businesses are the engines of job creation in tough economic times, then Stealth Hydroponics is providing employment power in two rural Michigan communities. The six-year old company, with operations in Milan and Ypsilanti, MI, employs 12 full-time and 3 part-time employees, many of whom began when Stealth Hydroponics opened its doors in 2005. Stealth Hydroponics manufacturers and distributes a complete line of hydroponic growing products and equipment, including the innovative Bubbleponics™ and Oxyponics® feeding systems. "In times of economic difficulty, we are proud that we make things happen," Stealth Hydroponics President Martin Wiggett says. "Not only do we employ more people at our company, but we also support the businesses of our suppliers." The unemployment rate in Michigan is higher than the national U.S. average of approximately 9%. Wiggett says that most of Stealth Hydroponics' workforce comes from one demographic - the under-age 25 group - who have been especially hit with the sluggish economy. "When we post a position opening, we generally have 10 or more applications within the first 24 hours," Wiggett explains. "Our regular customers also enquire about jobs for their friends and family." Stealth Hydroponics has also combined job creation with its social responsibility in the local community. The company has partnered with the CHS Group, LLC to offer special needs adults various jobs at Stealth Hydroponics' warehouse and distribution center. Wiggett says the partnership has been so successful that these special needs adults now assist with packaging and assembling supplies for seven different hydroponic product lines manufactured by www.stealthhydroponics.com( Hydroponics). Between six and eight employees arrive daily at Stealth Hydroponics to provide their services. The duties include processing items that need to be bagged, such as pre-measured organic nutrient packages or hydroton (clay pebbles), cutting lengths of tubing used for irrigation parts, or folding and sticking instructional information on growing equipment. Wiggett says that both CHS Group and Stealth Hydroponics have mutually benefited - both socially and financially - from the partnership. "One of the purposes of the CHS Group is to give their members a work experience where they feel part of a business organization," Wiggett explains. "The employees join us for lunch, special holiday parties, company events, etc. We have both benefited from this relationship." Adds Wiggett: "Stealth Hydroponics' regular employees now have a better understanding of the special needs adults who live in their community."http://www.stealthhydroponics.com systems offers info on hydroponics supplies & equipments for better hydroponic gardening and yield of plants You can get more information about Stealth Hydroponics, hydroponic systems by visiting grow equipment
