Live at Times Square in New York City today, FOX featured the world premiere of the trailer of the seventh season of 24, at 1pm ET/10am PT. Fans and viewers were excited to see what was in store for the new installment, despite the disappointing previous season and Kiefer Sutherland's trouble with the law. Mary Lynn Rajskub, who plays Chloe O'Brian on the highly-watched series, was also there amongst the eager crowd, watching the premiere even on a cold fall day in Manhattan . The question now lies, will season 7 redeem 24 from the mediocre season 6? The trailer opens with Jack Bauer in Washington D.C. , where he is on trial. He insists that he has no regrets about using torture, as he had saved lives because of what he did. He is then taken to the FBI headquarters and assigned to help out a team investigating a terror threat. Then, the unexpected happens. Well, basically fans did expect this as it was previously announced by FOX. Tony Almedia reemerges as the leader of the terrorist group, who are at the moment hacking the CIP, an organization running most of the country's infrastructure. But that's not where it ends. Tony may still end up as a good guy, as he may possible team up with Jack for some terrorist overturning, just like they did in the past. The end of the trailer features Jack being granted permission to torture an unidentified bad guy by a female FBI agent. The final scene shows Jack calling out to Tony across a pier. Basically, the premiere of season 7 of 24 was satisfying, given that the producers did not have much footage to work with. There wasn't any sight of Bill Buchanan, Chloe O'Brien or newcomer Janeane Garofalo. Hopefully this installment would be the biggest season yet, as promised by Kiefer Sutherland himself.
