When you are buying for a toddler, you know that there are many things that you must look at as they are prone to putting things in their mouth or hurting themselves. What many people do not realize is that one of the coolest toys, rc cars, can be purchased for toddlers. These cars are a wonderful way to teach children about depth perception and hand eye coordination and even motor skills. There are a few things that you should look at though when you are buying rc cars for toddlers to make sure that you get one that will be right for them. One of the things that you should look at is the controller that comes with the car, as there are many hazards that could be present. You want to make sure that the battery section is screwed down so the toddler cannot get them out. You also want to make sure that it will be easy to steer, such as with a wheel or even a lever that they can pull. The cool thing about many of the toddler rc cars on the market is that the tires on the outside do not move. Rather, the car is controlled by a wheel on the underside of the tire to move. This is why if there are other features to the car, such as lights, they usually come on when the car moves, as this creates extra buttons that can be confusing for a toddler. The car itself should also be examined. You want to make sure that the car itself and all the pieces that are on it are large enough that if anything breaks off, it will not go into the child’s mouth. This is why many of the toddler radio control cars available are around two feet long and about that wide. You should also make sure t hat all edges are smooth or rounded so that there is no way for the car to hurt the child. Keep in mind that while these rc cars may seem boring and basic to adults, toddlers will find them amazing. One of the great things about this age is that everything is new to them and their reaction alone is priceless. You should always make sure that the car you get is in the right age range for your child to ensure that they are safe while playing with the toy.
