The average American citizen is exposed to more than a hundred harmful chemicals found in his or her personal care products. Did you know that musks are mostly chemically derived and there is no legal obligation to reveal what is in them? These are used in the so called fragrances and perfume which are all synthetically composed as well. In any case, they are anything but all natural beauty products. They are protected too by the fact that the word 'fragrance' is considered to be a trade secret so this is another reason why the actual components are never revealed. But the damage they do is very real and there is now enough evidence to show that they can be responsible for skin irritation, and even cancer. So, the best way to protect our health is to simply use all natural beauty products. We should be looking out for the following ingredients which can do wonders for our skin and will neither damage our health nor the environment. Look for these ingredients. Green tea is a powerful antioxidant. Honey is an effective antibacterial agent and jojoba oil can soften skin effectively. Then there is grapeseed oil, another powerful antioxidant which can hydrate the skin. These are the ingredients which have stood the test of time and will give much better results in the short term.
