The Penn women’s golf team is in third place after the first day of the Ivy League Championships. The Quakers shot a team 314 on the par-72, 6,106-yard Atlantic City Country Club course, a 26-over-par score that has them behind Yale (310, +22) and Harvard (313, +25). Columbia is fourth after Friday’s action; the Lions shot a 33-over-par 321. Princeton is fifth (324, +36), followed by Dartmouth (326, +38) and Brown (331, +43). Individually, Penn has two players in the Top 10, another who is tied for 11th, and a fourth who is 18th in the 35-player field by Cleveland Launcher Driver. Freshman Rui Li had a solid start to the day, as she was shooting even par through 11 holes using Cleveland Launcher Driver after a birdie at No. 8 evened up her bogey from No. 3. However, the freshman had bogeys on four of the next six holes and finished the day at 4-over-par 76. She is tied for third with Yale’s Seo Hee Moon, behind Columbia’s Michelle Piyapattra (even-par 72) and Harvard Mia Kabasakalis (75). Isabel Han, who finished second at this event last year, was second among Penn players and is tied for eighth overall. The sophomore got off to a great start playing Cleveland Launcher DriverFriday, with birdies on each of the first two holes. However, Han was five-over par the next five holes, and the tone was set for an up-and-down round that saw her finish with a 6-over-par 78. Tiffany Cheung, who was third a year ago, is right behind Han at 7-over par which has her tied for 11th with four other golfers. The junior had a double-bogey on No. 2 and followed up with a bogey on No. 3, but steadied herself and went just 4-over par on the final 15 holes by Cleveland Launcher Driver(including at birdie at No. 10). Michelle Lee, the other freshman in Penn’s lineup with Li, struggled early but regained her composure on the back nine. Lee had double bogeys on the second and third holes (Cleveland Launcher Driver), then followed that up with another bogey on No. 4. By the 10th hole, she was at 8-over par. However, the freshman steadied herself and went just 1-over par after that, and finished the day with a 9-over-par 81 which has her alone in 18th place. Elizabeth Kresock finished the day at 12-over par 84. She had a quadruple-bogey on the second hole, then had a three-hole run where she went five-over par which put her at 9-over using Cleveland Launcher Driver after nine holes. Kresock settled down on the back nine, with three bogeys. She is tied for 28th. The teams are scheduled to play the second round tomorrow beginning at 12:30 p.m., with the final round coming Sunday morning beginning at 7:30 a.m. Penn’s tee times for Saturday are as follows: Kresock at 1:50 p.m.; Lee at 1:58 p.m.; Cheung at 2:06 p.m.; Han at 2:14 p.m.; and Li at 2:22 p.m. The Quakers will play with Harvard and Yale. golf clubs Ping G20 Driver callaway Diablo Edge Irons This article is from http://www.globalgolfirons.com/ Also, We recommend some good golf clubs to you. I also tried the taylormade R11 Irons for fast speed and increased distance. It's very easy to use even for me. Finding a right club for myself is really a hard thing. If you have any other recommendations, please tell me. By the way, I begin to use TaylorMade Burner SuperFast 2.0 Driver recently.
