Jack Thompson, the Australian actor as evidence of his personal passion to promote Australia’s colonial poetry often performs the work in regional centres. The next show, called Favourite Australian Poems, the works of Banjo Paterson, Henry Lawson and CJ Dennis for example will be done at the Wollongong Performing Arts Centre on March 31 2012 at 2pm. The quintessential Australian actor, has also released an exclusive new limited edition CD recording of The Campfire Yarns of Henry Lawson that includes the Ipswich specific “Babies of Walloon”. His warm and engaging voice brings this famous poem to life in a fresh interpretation that is destined to become an Australian classic.
