If you have got used to the white R11 driver, you must like playing with another family member TaylorMade R11 Fairway Wood. Like its brother, the TaylorMade R11 Fairway Wood lso comes with a white crown and an adjustable sole that can adjust the face and launch angles. As R9 wood improved model, the TaylorMade R11 Fairway Wood is added the Adjustable Sole Plate Technology to Flight Control Technology in a new aerodynamic steel head that promotes faster speed for more distance.
Here we are going to see how the Adjustable Sole Plate (ASP) Technology works on the TaylorMade R11 Fairway Wood:
When you change the club head’s loft using FCT, you're also forced to change the face angle – increase loft and the face angle closes; decrease loft and the face angle opens. Adjustable Sole Plate solves that problem by allowing you to adjust the face angle independently of the loft, which is controlled by FCT.
The ASP sole plate provides ±2° of face angle change (neutral/square, 2° open, 2° closed). You can create three lofts with the same face angle, or you can further accentuate a face angle or counter a negative face angle. Plus, the combination of ASP and FCT effectively doubles the range of face angle for the club for ±2° to ±4°.
The adjustable head allow the TaylorMade R11 Fairway Wood is well suited to most swing type’s players. Moreover, the club also sports a deep face and center of gravity for a more penetrating flight. Each TaylorMade R11 Fairway Wood comes fitted with a Fujikura Blur graphite shaft, which uses a large weave design to offer more stability at impact.
If you are looking for a new wood that can improve your swing, do not hesitate to go with the TaylorMade R11 Fairway Wood for it is really amazing.

As a beginner in golf, I've looking for golf clubs from many websites. I think the taylormade R11 Driver is great. It improved my game fastly. I also tried the Titleist 2010 AP2 Irons for fast speed and increased distance. It's very easy to use even for me. Finding a right club for myself is really a hard thing. If you have any other recommendations, please tell me. By the way, I begin to use taylormade R11 Irons recently.
