Jessica Sierra, former American Idol contestant who finished as tenth-place finalist on the show’s fourth season, is back to rehab for charges of disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest early this January. She is also facing the consequences of her violation of the conditions of a parole on earlier felony charges. Circuit Judge Daniel Perry sentenced the 22-years-old singer to a one-year rehab program. He also forbade her from appearing on TV and promoting her participation on the reality show Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. “I don't want this to be some steppingstone for her to have a career as a recovering addict," Perry firmly said. He also emphasized that in case Sierra violates the treatment program’s rules or fails to finish the course, Sierra will be transferred to Florida and will be put behind bars. The charges started with an incident back in April 2007 at South Tampa ’s Hyde Park Cafe. Sierra was detained after throwing a cocktail glass at a man’s face. She claimed that the man spat on her but later admitted that it might be the wrong person. Arresting officers also reported that Sierra kept on kicking the squad car’s window, and when she was brought to the Orient Road Jail, cocaine was found from her purse. She was absent during the scheduled court appearance because she was in a California rehab facility according to Lawyer John Fitzgibbons, who made a “not guilty” plead for her. But she was again arrested at a Tampa bar on December for disorderly intoxication and resisting arrest. Authorities said that Sierra shouted obscenities at the police and even offered sexual deeds in exchange for her release. She was held in custody for 39 days because of parole violation charge. Back in 2006, Sierra also made news when Daniel Young, 59-year-old man, was arrested at the home of Sierra’s grandmother. According to the police, Young keeps on calling Sierra and has left around 40 voicemail messages saying that he is in-love with her and that he is willing be imprisoned for her. She has since then been invited to participate in campaigns promoting awareness of the risks and remedies for stalking. Judge Perry assured that if Sierra completed her treatment within the given time, she will be acquitted of felony. This sentence was brought on after Dr. Drew Pinsky’s statements on Sierra’s condition. According to Dr. Pinsky, Sierra was multi-diagnosed and had mental health issues in addition to her addiction issues. Sierra’s father also confirmed the news that the singer is pregnant. Even though Sierra is still undergoing recovery, Vivid Entertainment also recently released Sierra’s celebrity sex tape website entitled Jessica Sierra Hardcore, a 72-minute sex tape involving Sierra and a past lover.
