Part 40 RED ALERT!!!JESUS CHRIST DID NOT DIE ON GOOD FRIDAY NOR DID HE RESURRECT ON SUNDAY MORNING.

It is needful these last days for every one everywhere to settle down for once and conduct a self examination of ourselves, weighing our actions according to the standard of Christ in His Word or as the scripture puts it “working out our salvation with fear and trembling.”

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Phil 2:12KJV And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: Eph 3:9-11KJV

We must ask ourselves why we should believe in Good Friday and celebrate Easter? Did Jesus Christ actually die on Good Friday and rose from the dead early on Easter Sunday morning? Did He not command us to often celebrate the feast of the Unleavened Bread by the breaking of Bread and the drinking of Wine, to show His death before He comes? Why should the Roman Catholic Church substitute the feast of the Unleavened Bread [Feast of Passover] for the pagan celebration of Easter. Are these beliefs scriptural? If yes, are we sure we are rightly dividing the word of truth? Many claimed that several hundreds of millions observe these days supposedly in honor of the death and the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Is there any portion of the scriptures that supports this suggestion? On the contrary, the scripture in Galatians 4:9-11 condemns such observances:

But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain. Gal 4:9-11KJV

What has Good Friday and Sunrise Service or Easter celebrations got to do with Christianity. Let us examine the concept of Good Friday. Jesus Christ revealed in His word that He would rise on “the third day”

And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men: And they shall kill him, and the third day he shall be raised again. And they were exceeding sorry. Matt 17:22-23KJV

The three days were counted thus by many; part of Friday was counted as the first day, Saturday, as the second day and part of Sunday as the third day. There are some examples in the scriptures where part of a day is counted for a whole day; such as in Luke 13:32-33 where Jesus Christ spoke thus:

And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected. Nevertheless I must walk to day, and tomorrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perishes out of Jerusalem. Luke 13:32-33KJV

From the above scriptures the third day would mean the same as the day following (tomorrow) which is three days even though only parts of those days are involved. There are many Christians who are not satisfied with this explanation stating that Jesus often said that He would rise “the third day.” The following scriptures thus confirm this thought:

From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. Matt 16:21KJV

Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day. Luke 9:22KJV

In Matthew 12:38-40 Jesus revealed the period of the time to His disciples as three days and three nights: Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee. But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. Matt 12:38-40KJV

Therefore the expression “the third day” scripturally means three days and three nights. It is needful to understand what the scripture means when Jesus spoke of three days and three nights. In Genesis 1:4-13 the scripture states:

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day. And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: Gen 1:3-15KJV

Let us take note of this expression “and the evening (darkness) and the morning (light) were the First Day…. and the evening (darkness) and the morning (light) were the Second Day…. and the evening (darkness) and the morning (light) were the Third Day” which explains the term “the third day” better to mean “three days and three nights” as Jesus declared it. The scripture states in John 11:9-10 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him. John 11:9-10KJV Since twelve hours makes a day and another twelve hours the night therefore three days and three nights will sum up to 72hours. The question often asked is: Was Jesus to be in the heart of the earth for exactly 72hours?

Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. John 2:19KJV.

GOD IS NEVER LATE This scripture gives further credence to the fact that our God of perfection and time consciousness would have sent His Spirit to raise Jesus Christ from the dead at 72hours exactly after His death. The scripture in Galatians4:4 confirm this thought:

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. Gal 4:4-5KJV

The scripture reveals thus in the book of Daniel 9:24- 27 that seventy weeks has been programmed by God as a time period to accomplish the plan of returning His people to conform to the image of Christ in other to have dominion over all that He has created and to finally walk into His likeness. Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Daniel 9;24-27KJV

Let us examine the content of the seventy week package meant to be fulfilled in the lives of the people of God.

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, A] To finish the transgression, B] To make an end of sins, C] To make reconciliation for iniquity, D] To bring in everlasting righteousness, E] To seal up the vision and prophecy, F] To anoint the most Holy.

All these events must be fulfilled before the world comes to an end. The people at the time of Jesus Christ were not knowledgeable enough else they would have been able to know the exact time that Jesus Christ was to be born and when to begin His ministry since it had been revealed to Daniel the prophet to be “seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks” The time that the commandment was given to restore and build Jerusalem to the time of the coming of Christ was sixty nine weeks. After these seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks which are sixty nine weeks, the Messiah was cut off. It is then obvious that the Messiah was to be cut off in the seventieth week. The scripture in verse 26 confirms it:

And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. Dan 9:26KJV

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate Dan 9:27KJV Jesus Christ will confirm the covenant for one week that is for seven years. This means that God had marked the seventieth week to be the week He would fulfill His promise of writing His laws in our heart to make us be like Him. The scripture in Jeremiah 31:33 reveals the promises of God that must be fulfilled in our lives.

But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jeremiah 31:33KJV

Also in Hebrew 8:10 the scripture confirms this prophecy stating the mind of God that was revealed to Jeremiah the prophet. It states:

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: Heb 8:10KJV

In verse 27 of Daniel 9 Jesus Christ the Messiah was cut off at the middle of the week. This means that Jesus Christ spent three and a half years out of the seven years as a Son to fulfill His ministry after which He was crucified. The last three and a half years has been kept on hold for those who will attain the status of Son-ship; the entire creation awaits the manifestation of the sons of God.

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. Rom 8:19KJV

During the three and a half years people tried to accuse Him as they sought for reasons to kill Him but they failed because His time was not yet come. This is confirmed in John 7:8

Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come John 7:8.KJV

The divine plan and time for Jesus Christ to be born, anointed, start and end the work of His ministry was exactly within a period of thirty three and a half year. Jesus new the hour of His death and resurrection as revealed in His prayer to His Father in John 17:1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: John 17:1 KJV

There is no doubt that the period between the burial and His resurrection is exactly seventy –two hours. If this is true then the resurrection took place at the same time of the day that Jesus was buried. What time of the day was it? The time is revealed to be at sundown in Matthew 27:46.

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Matt 27:46KJV

John 19:31-33 also stated thus:

The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified with him. But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs: John 19:31-33KJV

Mark 15:42 also revealed the time as evening [sundown].

The Law of Moses in Deuteronomy21:23 stated that His body should be taken for burial.

His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance. Deut 21:23KJV

In conclusion these accounts in John 19:38-42 showed that before sundown everything that needed to be down in ensuring that the body of Jesus was laid in the tomb was done.

And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe. For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken. And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced. And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus.

And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight. Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury. Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid. There laid they Jesus therefore because of the Jews' preparation day; for the sepulchre was nigh at hand. John 19:35-42KJV

If the burial of Jesus Christ took place at sundown then His resurrection three days after would be at sundown showing that the time period was exactly seventy –two hours. Our God is a God of exactness and does everything right on schedule. Nothing takes Him by surprise. He is our all-seeing and all knowing God. The information that was passed to us is that Jesus Christ resurrected at Sunrise to advance the reason for having a Sunrise Service. Jesus Christ resurrected at sundown. A Sunrise resurrection would have required an extra night bringing the time period to three days and four nights. The scripture in Mark16:1-8 reveals that those who came to the tomb at Sunrise, found the tomb already empty.

And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him. But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you. And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they any thing to any man; for they were afraid. Mark 16:1-8KJV

The scripture in John 20:1-2 revealed the fact that it was yet dark when Mary Magdalene went to the tomb.

The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him. Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre. So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself. Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. Then the disciples went away again unto their own home. But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre, And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him. And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master. Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her. Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. John 20:1-21 KJV

In every instance, they found the tomb empty. The first day of the week was when the disciples discovered that he was raised from death.

Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. Luke 24:1-3KJV

Nowhere in the scriptures suggests the actual time of Jesus’ resurrection but we know that our God is a God of exactness. The only verse Mark 16:9 which seem to suggest a Sunday morning resurrection stated thus:

Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. Mark 16:9KJV The scriptures did not say that Jesus was seen rising early on the first day of the week. It only revealed that when the first day of the week came HE WAS RISEN; showing an event which had transpired. When Sunday morning came Jesus had risen, the resurrection had taken place just before sundown of the day before. If we count three days and three nights backwards it will take us to Wednesday. Therefore we can confidently conclude that Jesus died on Wednesday at sundown and resurrected on Saturday at sundown to confirm His statement in Mattew 12:40.

For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. Matt 12:40KJV:

Wednesday night, Thursday night and Friday night, make up three nights then Thursday, Friday and Saturday make up three days. This will exactly make up three days and three nights. If Jesus died on Good Friday as claimed then Friday sundown to Saturday sundown is one day, Saturday sundown to Sunday sundown is the second day and Sunday sundown to Monday sundown is the third day .This method of counting from Friday to Sunday does not tally with the three days and three nights spoken by Jesus. Jesus was crucified on the “preparation” Wednesday. The next day that followed the “preparation” was Thursday when the chief priest and the Pharisees went together to obtain permit from Pilate to secure the tomb. Matthew 27:62-66

Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again. Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can. Matt 27:62-66KJV:

From this passage we can safely say that the tomb was sealed and guarded on Thursday of that burial week which was a high day. Sunday then would have been the third day of events but not the third day from the crucifixion. The Sabbath that followed the death of our Lord was not the weekly Sabbath but the yearly Sabbath. The scripture in John 19:14 and 31 informs us that the Sabbath was a High day.

And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King John 19:14.KJV

The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. John 19:31KJV This Sabbath could fall on any day of the week; in the year of Jesus’ death it fell on a Thursday. Our Lord was crucified on Wednesday on the day of preparation then the next day Thursday became the high day Sabbath then Friday, followed by the weekly Sabbath which was Saturday. There were two Sabbaths that week which explains why Jesus could be crucified on the day before the yearly Sabbath and was already raised from the tomb the day after the weekly Sabbath which fulfilled His sign of three days and three nights. It is noteworthy to mention here that a careful study of the account in Mark16:1 and luke23:56 gave further evidence that there were two Sabbaths at the crucifixion week.

And when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him. Mark 16:1KJV

The scripture showed that it was after the yearly Sabbath that the women brought their spices and after preparing them, rested on the weekly Sabbath day.

And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment. Luke 23:56KJV This verse revealed that it was after the yearly Sabbath that the women brought their spices and prepared them before the weekly Sabbath. There were two Sabbaths in our Lord’s Last week, the Passover Sabbath which was on Thursday and the Saturday Weekly Sabbath. Jesus’ body was hastened down on Wednesday after crucifixion and He was three days and three nights in the womb of the earth. The Friday resurrection has no proof from the scriptures .Jesus Christ resurrected on Saturday sundown as proved therefore the issue of Sunrise service does not arise. Let us critically examine the Sunrise service to find out where it came from and how it was adopted by the entire Christendom as a day to celebrate Easter Sunday.

Sunrise Services

He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do. Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD's house which was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz. Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these. And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD's house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east. Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose. Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them. Ezek 8:13-18KJV

The prophet Ezekiel had a vision of the many abominations the people of God had committed thus provoking God. Sunrise Services was a custom and tradition of the pagans but adopted by the people of God. This practice is highly condemned by God in the scriptures.

" He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do. …and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.

God got provoked because the people who claimed to have known Him as the true God had perpetually fallen into the worship of the sun. The fact that they worship God towards the east shows that they were worshipping the sun god in their Sunrise Service. In the days of Elijah the Prophet, the prophets of Baal looked to the east and prayed to Baal. When Elijah challenged the Baal prophets on their own ground knowing that Baal was the sun-god and so the god of fire he said: “The God that answers by Fire, let him be God.” The Baal prophets began their prayer in the morning to activate the appearance of the sun over the eastern horizon but their god did not respond by fire. As soon as Elijah called on the True God, Fire came down from heaven and leaked the twelve stones representing Israel, the soaked wood and the sacrifice. According to the old legends after Tammuz died it was said that he descended into the underworld. Through the weeping of his mother “Ishtar” from whose name “Easter” is derived, he was mystically revived in spring. The resurrection of Tammuz through Ishtar grief was presented annually in order to insure the success of the crops and the fertility of the people. Every year men and women had to grief with Ishtar to mark the death of Tammuz and celebrate the god’s return in order to win anew her favor and benefits. Even the Israelites adopted the doctrines and rites of the annual pagan spring festival for it is recorded that the women wept for Tammuz. As Christians we believe that Jesus Christ rose from the dead in reality. Because the resurrection of Christ was in spring it was not difficult for the apostate Church having departed from faith to merge the pagan spring festival with Christianity. Legend has it that Tammuz was killed by a wild boar when he was forty years old. It is revealed that forty days that is a day for each year Tammuz lived on earth should be set aside for “weeping for Tammuz.” This accounts for the forty days of weeping [lent], fasting and self chastisement to gain his favor anew. God has warned His people to stop this pagan celebration but how many are ready to listen to God. God has said in Hosea 4:6 that His people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Study the mind of God as revealed to Ezekiel the prophet … “Then He said unto me, Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it a light thing…that they commit the abominations which they commit here? For they…have returned to provoke Me to anger…Therefore will I also deal in fury: Mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in Mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them." (Ezek. 8:13-18). Observing Sunrise Services is a grievous and vile practice in God’s sight which attracts His instant judgment on all who persist in it.

The scripture in Ezekiel chapter 9 reveals God’s seal being placed on the souls of those who sigh against the abominations going on in the holy places but commanded the destroyer not to spare those who are without the seal starting from the ministers of God at the sanctuary.

He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand. And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar. And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side; And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof. And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house. And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city. And it came to pass, while they were slaying them, and I was left, that I fell upon my face, and cried, and said, Ah Lord GOD! wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel in thy pouring out of thy fury upon Jerusalem? Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not. And as for me also, mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity, but I will recompense their way upon their head. And, behold, the man clothed with linen, which had the inkhorn by his side, reported the matter, saying, I have done as thou hast commanded me. Ezek 9:1-11KJV It is not a light matter before God that many millions celebrate Easter. The celebrations may seem religiously attractive and the feasts appetizing and well packaged for her faithful celebrants but God declares these observances and practices of EASTER FORBIDDEN. We must return to God with all our heart, spirit, soul and body
