Actor Milo Ventimiglia warms up in an interview with GQ Magazine and shares what’s keeping him busy nowadays from the Heroes series, the films he did with his very own production company and his relationship with co-star Hayden Panattiere. Ventimiglia plays Peter Petrelli on the just recently renewed NBC sci-fi series Heroes. His character is so fluid that it had undergone a lot of changes, both physically and emotionally, from season one to season two. Even Ventimiglia is awed with the transformations. “I just finally put on a little man-weight,” he explained. “My face changed. Nothing I could do about it, man. It was an f***in train I could not stop.” While Heroes was on break during the WGA strike, Ventimiglia remained busy. He focused on Divide Pictures, a production company he co-owns and operates with best friends Russ Cardiff and Dino Emilio. Just last December, he finished shooting two movies, Chaos Theory and Game. His company is currently working on the post production stage of both films. Game is a thriller that tackles the story about a super high-tech future where people can control other people through a huge, multi-player online gaming environment. It is written and directed by Mark Needling and Brian Taylor and is set to be released in 2009. Chaos Theory on the other hand, is a thriller written and directed by Vince Velum. It stars Rhys Cairo of 24 and Entourage, and Chip Joplin of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Ventimiglia is also cast for the movie Armored, which is currently on its filming stage. He joins a star-studded ensemble which includes Columbus Short, Matt Dillon, Laurence Fishburne, Jean Reno and Skeet Ulrich. On his relationship with Hayden Panattiere, Ventimiglia explains that they want to keep things in private as much as possible. Since last year, rumors have been spreading and people have been asking what the real score between the two is. Although initially, they kept on denying and insisting that they were just close friends, people still considered them as an item. Eventually, the relationship was confirmed when news came out about Ventimiglia’s staying with Panenttiere’s family in December. “When you're in the public eye, you try to keep whatever you can private,” he explains. “But what can you do—stop living your life?” Fans have coined the nicknamed “HALO” for the couple and Ventigmilia admits that the label makes him smile.
