In the early days of the medical field, medical scrubs were already used but there weren't a lot of choices. Most medical scrubs had very limited style and the colors were very dull. However, it was understandable why medical scrubs were originally designed this way. The people in the medical field didn't have a style in mind in developing this suit. The main purpose of the creation of this medical scrub was to formalize the attire of nurses in the operating room. Another purpose was that they also wanted clothing that was somehow hygienic. The medical field was able to do this through the creation of the medical scrub. This attire was mostly made out of cotton and they did this for a good reason. Cotton had a quality where it was not too porous. This basically meant that dirt and other germ-carrying elements could not easily enter the fabric. This quality was also the reason why cotton medical scrubs were very easy to clean. Nowadays, new types and styles of medical scrubs have appeared in the market. These new products aim to change the traditional styles of scrub suits by introducing more color and variation. One popular style today is the Cherokee scrub. Summary: The people in the medical field didn't have a style in mind in developing this suit.
