If you do lots of gardening and have plants and flowers in the outdoors. These plants and flowers need the sun and water to continue to grow and produce flowers. When it rains out the plants and flowers get a good amount of water, but during those hot sunny days when it hasn’t rained out in a few days, everything is drying up and you need to water the plants and flowers again. The tap water is handy, nearby and will do the job. But with using the tap water, you are being charged money for using if you are connected to the town or city’s water supply, unless you have well water, then it’s free. But if you don’t have well water there is a way to collect the rain water for those hot sunny days when you need to water those plants and flowers again. Below I will mention a way to collect the rain water, this way you have free water to water those plants and flowers. If you have a small garden and a small amount of plants and flowers to water, then a couple of small buckets would be good to collect the rain water in. If you have a bigger garden and plants and flowers, then use bigger buckets, like 1 or 2 small trash buckets. You can get the buckets at your local hardware or department store. A good way to collect the rain water is your houses, garages or sheds down spouts. Just put the buckets underneath the down spouts and the water will flow into the buckets. But it is not a good idea to have buckets everywhere and insight, it might not look good. So either put the buckets under down spouts and behind your house, garage or shed so they are not seen but are easy to get to when you need the water. If you don’t use the collected rain water for many days, then dump the water out, because this will collect mosquitoes and mosquitoes are not good. If you don’t have down spouts anywhere, then put 1 or 2 on the sides of your garage or shed just for this reason of collecting water for your gardens plants and flowers.
