Built in 4500 years ago, the Pyramids are the tombs of the ancient Egyptian pharaoh and queen. The tombs were built by square bricks of stone, which were similar to the character “gold”,so it was translated into “Pyramids”. Until now, there have had 110 Pyramid in Egypt, which was built in the ancient dynasty of Egypt. As known to us, Egyptian Pyramids is one of eight wonders in the world. Although it was said like above, archaeologists never found pharaoh’s mummy in the Pyramids. The ancient Egyptians believed in God devoutly that they formed a deep-rooted concept of the next life. They even thought that life was just a transient inhabitation and human beings would be happy forever after their death. Therefore, Egyptians regarded the underground world as the continuation of our mortal life. Affected by this concept of next life, the ancient Egyptians prepared for their death sincerely and confidently. In a consequence, every rich Egyptian would be busy preparing their tombs and used different kinds of things to decorate their tombs so as to run after living forever after their death. In order to live cozily and happily in the underground world, every pharaoh or aristocracy, he would spend several years or even decades building his tomb and ordered craftsmen to describe his activities of sailing and hunting by frescos and wooden models. There are such words in the Pyramids Texts: The sky’s lights reach out to you so as to help you go to heaven. Afterwards, the ancient Egyptians adored obelisks very much, which stand for the sun lights. Nowadays, with the development of high technology, there are more and more scientists believing that the Pyramids are really built by Egyptians. As we know, the Pyramids of ancient Egypt are famous for their striking architectural technology, unique astronomy and Mathematics value all around the world, so they have aroused people’s all sorts of curiosity, speculation and recollection. Nowadays, a great many foreign people are exploring the secrets of “Pyramid power”. In the last ten years, with the amounts of travelers to visit Pyramids rising continuously, their soundness has been damaged. In order to protect this valuable historic site, in April, 1995, the Egyptian government claimed that 1995 was the year of protecting Pyramids.
