Writing Agent tools of the trade is a perfect mixture, blending the old with the new. Having both at your disposal is an unbeatable combination. And I would suggest, utilizing both methods whenever you can. As a screenwriter, you may say, "hey, I have a laptop, what more do I need?" Well, I will go ahead and state the obvious. A printer would be nice. Script writing software to help you format your screenplay properly, would be useful. Internet access to do any needed research is quite a valuable tool to have these days. With just a click you can find information you need in a hurry. How great is that. But do not forget to still enjoy your local library. A lot of valuable information resides within its walls. You should make a date to go and explore all the possibilities. You will be amazed at what treasures you will find. The wonders of modern technology can be quite useful, but I would not rule out the old methods just yet. Having the old standbys on hand are helpful whenever you are in a pinch. You never know when there might be a power outage. How lucky for you to have pen and paper on hand. The writing agent tools of the trade that you should always have on hand are the following: Computer, Printer, Copier Paper Dictionary - make sure it is a good one, not just a quick pocket version Thesaurus - the same applies as with your dictionary, find a good one Notepad of paper, preferably lined Pens and highlighters - make sure to have several of each in different colors Pencils and erasers And above all, your imagination I love my laptop. However, I do not want to be tied down to it. I myself like to use a steno pad, pencil and eraser. And I will tell you why. They are accessible and easy to carry around. I can just toss them in my bag and I am off and running. When inspiration strikes, I can grab my notepad and jot down my thoughts and continue on my merry way. I think it is an excellent idea to use a notepad as your workbook. Especially when developing story ideas. As a screenwriter, you want to spend quality time alone to work out your plot and story structure. Script writing demands your attention to detail. Having a notepad as your workbook can help you to do just that. thesis help
