Once a wise king decided to choose an heir from his ten princes, so he ordered a minister to put a “giant stone” on the road, where was close to water on both sides. So anyone who wanted to pass the way successfully should come across this “giant stone”. They should either roll away the stone, or climb over it, or go round. Then the king told princes to pass the road one by one and to send a secret letter to this minister. Soon all the princes finished this task, and the king started to inquire all the princes, “how can you send a letter to the minister?” “I climbed over the big stone.” One answered. “I rowed a boat.” Another one said. “I swam to across it.” Someone else showed off his ability of swimming. Finally the little prince said, “I ran on the road.” “Were you not hidden by a giant stone?” The king asked. “I made every effort to push it by hands and it fell into the river.” The little prince answered. “How large the stone was, and why did you push it by hands?” The king asked again. “I merely tried to do, and to my surprise, it was moved as soon as I pushed it.” The little prince answered happily. In fact, the “giant stone” was made of light materials by the king and this minister. Naturally, this little prince became the hair eventually. Unconsciously, I associate this story with our daily life. As the saying goes, when life hands you lemons, make lemonade. As to this view, many people can not agree with it more, however, I have different viewpoints. In my opinion, we should depend on ourselves instead of our friends, families or the environment. It is no deny that we can not live alone in the world and we are in need of friends and families. Nevertheless, we should cultivate the ability of independence and try to solve problems by ourselves. Of course, others will support us materially or mentally sometimes, we should feel grateful and make ourselves more and more powerful. And I always view love as a two-way role, so I will help others in return. Ok, I would like to make a conclusion. We should learn to master our fates by ourselves instead of totally believing in others. And many information about stones are showed at stonebtb.
