Although I have left school for nearly one year, I still remember the story that our teacher told us in the last class. He used a vivid illustration that we will never forget in our whole life. Instead of saying good-bye to us reluctantly, he wanted to teach us a lesson about life when the class began. He stood in front of us and pulled out a one-gallon, wide-mouth jar and set it on the table. He also produced about a dozen fist-sized rocks and carefully placed them into the jar. All of us were curious about his experiment with our wide eyes. When the jar was filled to the top and no more rocks could fit inside, he asked, "Is this jar full?" "Yes." We yelled tacitly. “Really?” Our teacher replied. After that, he reached under the table and pulled out a bucket of gravel, dumped some gravel in and shook the jar, causing pieces of gravel to work themselves down into the spaces between the big rocks. “Is this jar full?” He asked us again. “Probably not!” the tallest boy in our class stood up and answered. "Good!" he replied. And then, he grabbed a pitcher of water and began to pour it in until the jar was filled to the brim. Then he looked at the class and asked, "What is the point of this illustration?" “Time is just like this jar. At first sight, it was limited, but if we make full use of it, we will deserve much. In other words, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard you can always fit some more things in it!" Our master said. After a while, another boy raised his hand and said,” I don’t agree with you. There are so many things to put inside it, if you don’t put the rstones at first, how do you do with others?” “You are totally right! Today our theme is “What is the big rocks in your life?” The teacher said. In our life, you care about your education, dreams, cause and so on, but please remember that you should always put the most things in first or you will never get them in at all. After reading this story, I have learnt much from it. In my opinion, I quite agree with the teacher and will put my big rocks in front.
