Do you have a good understanding of Chinese legends? According to the tale, “five-flavored tea of forgetfulness” is a thing that you will forget all troubles, love and hate after you drink it. When you leave the world and head for another place, it will be handed to Meng-po’s hands in front of the Bridge of Sigh. It was said that once a girl didn’t drink the “five-flavored tea of forgetfulness” when she was across the Bridge of Sigh. After her reincarnation, she found her past lover, who fell in love with another girl. Hence, she had to keep at his side and waited for him to find and remember her; however, that boy didn’t have the past girl in his memory, so he regarded her as a good friend and shared happiness and sorrow with her. Later on, the girl had an accident unfortunately and went to the Bridge of Sigh again. The Meng-po asked her that whether she would regret not drinking “five-flavored tea of forgetfulness” or not. In fact, Meng-po had known everything before. The girl shook her head firmly and said that it was also my wish to stay with him again without drinking it if I could. After hearing that, Meng-po was moved by her sincerity, gave a stone to her and told her to use her blood to dye the stone red and handed this stone to that boy in the afterlife, and he would remember her. Afterwards, the red stone has been recognized the token of love between lovers. Of course, it was just a fictitious story made up by ancient people so as to extol love and stone, but I was also touched by it. Nowadays, people express their love to their lovers by giving roses, chocolate and necklace to each other on Valentine’s Day, a traditional festival in western countries. But now it has become popular all over the world. Although roses are beautiful and chocolates taste delicious, I like red stone better, for it will last forever and keep cool in summer, but warm in winter. In my eyes, true love should be permanent like hard stone, which is able to undergo ups and downs no matter what happens in the future. In a word, we have got a great many materials about different kinds of stones in the world. If you are fascinated with stones and want to have a feast for your eyes, you can not missstonebtb.
