Once there was an unfortunate child in a small village. His father died and his mother was sick seriously. Every morning he would get up early, and carried a basket of fried dough sticks. He would run and yelled, “fried dough sticks are selling, selling fried dough sticks, sweet and delicious fried dough sticks, 2 coppers for one fried dough stick.” One day, after he sold all the fried dough sticks, he sat on a stone on the road and counted coppers in his basket one by one, until just one hundred. Because he sold fried dough sticks, so his hands and coppers got greasy. Seeing so many shinning coins, he was quite happy and thought he was able to buy medicine for his mother. Since he had run in the whole morning, he got tired, tilted his head against thestone and slept immediately. After a while he was awaken and found that there was no copper in his basket. He was worried and sad, so he burst into tears and cried loudly. At that moment, the Bao Zheng, an upright official known for his stressing the dignity of law passes by him with his troops. He was just and clever in people’s eyes. When seeing this sad child, he asked, “Why do you cry, dear child?” “I have lost all the money that I earned from selling fried dough sticks.” The child answered. “ It must be this stone that have stone your money, and now I will interrogated this stone and asked it to return money to you.” When people heard that, they felt strange and watched the scene together. “Stone, did you steal the child’s money?” Bao Zheng asked. The stone kept silent with no word. Hence, he got angry with the stone and said, “If you don’t tell the truth, I will smash your head.” At that time, some people said that Bao Zheng was a foolish instead of a clever official. Upon hearing that, Bao Zheng punished everyone by commanding them to give a copper to the bowl. So they had to do that unwillingly, but suddenly when one person threw his copper into the bowl, Bao Zheng realized he was the thief and arrested him. Why? Because the copper that he threw into the bowl was greasy in the water. Finally, do you want to have more information about stones, if you do, you can visit stonebtb.
