This piece of writing is a synopsis of the important story Crime and Punishment, written by a person named Fyodor dostoevsky in Russia in the middle eighteen hundreds. The work of fiction is focused on a young, contemptuous Russian man called Raskolnikov. The novel is now considered a beautiful classic and is mandatory reading in most grade schools. Chapter five begins as Raskolnikov realizes that he is moving toward his accomplice Razumikhin's place. He decides not to go to his house, only to go to his house after he has done his abominable action, and by abominable action, he means when he murders the pawnbroker. He chooses to consume some alcohol and later falls asleep in a little grass. His brain is muddled and raskolnikov is plunged into a vision. In this dream he is a child. He sees a group of people harshly killing an old horse. The man who has the horse is not mad at all, and is happy when murdering the horse. Boy Raskolnikov cannot comprehend why the people are cruelly murdering the horse. He is apparently upset. Eventually the beast perishes and raskolnikov holds the dead horse's head. His father later carries him away. At this time, Raskolnikov wakes up horrified. The dream was actually an episode from his childhood. Raskolnikov enduringly decides that the murder of the the rich old woman would be horrible and decides raskolnikov will not under any condition murder the woman. He cannot fall asleep and wants to go home. Suddenly, he hears that the old woman's sister would not be at home around 7. Raskolnikov realizes that the time would be a perfect opportunity to murder the the rich old woman. He is horrified and doesn't know what to do. Raskolnikov thinks that he has the right to kill the pawnbroker, but is also horrified by the belief. By this time, raskolnikov feels that he has no free will and that it might be his fate to murder the pawnbroker. I anticipate you enjoyed this annotation of Crime and Punishment.
