I had just purchased a brand new car entirely out of my own money; this was a big deal for me as it was the first major thing I have bought for myself without any help from my parents. My brand new swift dzire stood in my parking lot shining in all its grandeur. I took my car out for a spin and picked up three of my closest friends who lived in the same vicinity. While we were driving around and enjoying the pleasant weather one of my friends suggested that we go for a road trip in my new car as we anyway hadn’t been on a vacation together in a long time. As he uttered those words, it was as if a light bulb came on in all our heads and we instantly agreed with his idea. We all had a fair amount of our annual leave left over and so decided to go and submit our leave applications the following morning. We all took a week off and now came the tricky part, deciding where to go? After endless suggestions from each one of us, we decided and agreed on going to Goa. It would be like the several trips we made to Goa in our college days, the only difference being we would be driving down in my car instead of taking rickety old buses. We planned to leave on Saturday morning by around 6-7am as it was going to be a long drive of at least 10 hours considering Goa was more then 500km away from Pune. We exited the city quickly and within no time were on the NH-4. We were cruising across the highway and were doing a good speed of around 100kmph. After a few hours of driving we stopped for a lunch break and ate some delicious food. After stuffing our faces we were back on the road. We reached the Amboli Ghat by sunset and stopped the car to soak in the beautiful picturesque view that surrounded us. We kept switching drivers every few hours and soon after crossed Sawantwadi. This meant we were very close to Goa. Soon after, we reached Mapsa and then after some driving around we found a great place to stay at Anjuna beach. We decided to take a short nap as we were all tired from the long drive. While lying on the bed with my eyes half open, all I could imagine was taking a dip on the beach and indulging in some great seafood. My holiday has just begun and I couldn’t wait to just relax this entire week. I was extremely satisfied with the performance on my new car and felt great that I chose the dzire over the other cars that were in my mind. We all sat in absolute comfort and after this trip I would regard my maruti dzire car to be the best in its class.
