On 16th, December, 1770, Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany. Being a terrorist of the local Palace’s choir, his father was moody and addicted to drinking, but his mother was a cook, kind and gentle. Hence, the hard life deprived Beethoven’s right of going to school. Since he was a child, he showed hi talent for music, which made his father desire to let him become a music prodigy and his cash cow. So his father was very strict with him and forced him to practice the harpsichord and the violin since he was 4years old. When Beethoven was eight eyes old, he made his first appearance, achieved great success and was named as “the second Mozart.” Afterwards, he apprenticed at the organist, Nifor and started to learn how to compose. Three years later, he published his first work “Piano Variation” and after 2 years, he joined in the court orchestra and became an organist and pianist. In 1787, he began to follow Mozart and Haydn to learn composition in Vienna. Unfortunately, Beethoven suddenly suffered from ear infection in 1796. At first, he didn’t care about it, for he thought it would recover soon, however, it was worse and worse. In 1819, Beethoven totally lost hearing and his heart was completely broken at the same time. On 7th, May, 1824, Beethoven led his orchestra to play the “Ninth symphony” created by him. When the performance ended, Vienna’s party venue was filled with earsplitting applause, but Beethoven couldn’t feel the enthusiastic atmosphere at all. Why? Because at the time he couldn’t hear any sounds. Although he was very sad to suffer from ear infection, he overcame diseases and composed a great many symphony and some other music works, which people speak highly of from generation to generation, and he has become a renowned musician and composer in the world. It is no deny that it is the cruelest for a musician to lose hearing, but Beethoven didn’t give up his dreams, instead, he made his every effort to compose the most wonderful works, which were great treasures to human beings. To be honest, I have learnt an important lesson from him. There are many unknown things in our life, what we should do is to be strong like a stone and face them bravely instead of escaping from them. Finally, do you want to know more about stones?
