Aside from picking the right product to market, there is the need to decide if this product is one that will be around for a long time to come or one that is for the moment. This matters a lot when considering your marketing strategies. Is it a product that needs you to do a quick type of promotion on or is it one that will need you to spend quality time in pre-selling it? Let me give you an example here. If I were to market two products namely the jerseys for the German national team for 2012 Euro Championships and that of the almighty Barcelona (apologies to my Real Madrid, Manchester United and City ad other friends here. No harm intended) for the next Spanish football season, I will naturally know that I will be spending less time and energy on the German team’s campaign than that of Barcelona. This is because the Euros will last for just 2 weeks or thereabout while the Spanish league is going to be there for almost the whole year round. Get the drift? Only a “metachondrial persona de addendum” will do otherwise. Please do not bother checking the dictionary for the meaning of that. I do not know its meaning myself. As you may have now noticed, the German National Team’s jersey will only be in high demand sometime between two weeks before the 2012 EUROS and the first week of the tournament while that of Barcelona (never mind if you are a Real Madrid fan or a Manchester United one here. Just swap the names) will be in demand not just two weeks before the season starts but long into the season which means a number of months in which to make sales. A professional affiliate marketer will likely do a quick PPC type of marketing strategy on the German jerseys while meticulously planning very serious, more time consuming strategies on that of the Barcelona team. For example, a well grounded affiliate marketer will go to the extent of creating a captivating and great landing page to capture conversions and make good money online while the inexperienced affiliate will be contented with a less quality job or no landing page at all. Even if you still do not know enough about creating landing pages, you will want to in the mean time, create a page on your blog dedicated to a campaign that is so important to your pocket and try as much as possible to make it a “must visit” for your usual and future visitors. In between, you can spend some time learning how to create crowd-pulling landing pages. |
I will be writing on this topic sometime soon hopefully. However, it is not rocket science to know that if your ads, articles, or blog on a topic or product is not enticing enough to keep people salivating for more, you are simply not going to get a dime from your affiliate marketing business. Simply put, no money will get into your online account. It has got nothing to do with your enemies or demons! I believe you got the message there.
For a customer to want to buy a product, he or she will need a little encouragement by strategically worded and placed information to help push the sale. A number of inexperienced affiliates do not properly inform the potential customer in a clear and understandable manner what the product is all about and its potential benefits if eventually bought. Even though some smart advertisers go the extra mile to provide you as an affiliate with their own landing pages, it is advisable for you to pre-sell the product yourself if you think the product’s landing page is not solid enough for your liking. Your potential customer is a normal human being who has no business with affiliate marketing jingoism! Sorry for that little grammatical bullet. I suppose that is a signal that I am beginning to stray slightly. A cup of hot coffee has been waiting for my attention for a few minutes now and might be responsible for that parabolitic jugulation.
OOOPS. Will be back sometime soon. Stay cool and focused till then. Have a wonderful time in between. As you may have noticed by now, making money online is not exactly the same as online gambling but a serious home-based business that can catapult your finances skywards with the attendant rest of mind if done correctly.
