One day, a lobster met a crab in the deep sea. When the crab saw the lobster taking its shell off and exposed tender body, it was very nervous and said, “How can you abandon your shell, only which will protect your body? Aren’t you afraid that large fish will eat you flatly? As to your condition, even the rapids can dash you to the rock. At that time, you will certainly die.” “Thanks for your concern, but you don’t know that we crabs must take our shells off every time when we grow up so as to grow harder shell. We face dangers now to be better prepared for our future.” After hearing that, the crab thought carefully for a long time. Unlike the lobster, it looked for refuges the whole day, instead of making itself stronger. It lived under the shadow of other people. Hence, it is no doubt its development was limited. To be honest, after reading this short story, I have learnt much from it. When we were little children, our parents tried their best to protect us and satisfy our needs of clothing, eating and education. Because we were immature, we were dependent on them very much. At that time, we haven’t formed our values of life, world and dreams. How time flies, we gradually grow up and we understand that we can master our fates to much degree. Unlike in the past, we have to deal with many difficulties by ourselves. Maybe we can listen to our families’ suggestions and friends’ tips, but we should think twice and make decisions reasonably. On the way to success, there are many forks that we are stuck at. Sometimes it is so hard for us to make a right choice among so many choices, some of which are opportunities and challenges, but some of which are temptations. At that time, we should make clear what we really want and stick to our beliefs. Of course, life is full of thorns and flowers. If you want to get the most beautiful flowers, you will be hurt by thorns in advance. As the old saying goes, happiness comes after bitterness. Besides, to people who are afraid of dangers, dangers exist everywhere. Everyone has a certain safe zone, and if you want to surpass your current achievements, you should accept challenges bravely to enrich yourselves, and you will get better. Finally, do you want to know more about stones? If you do, you can get information from stonebtb.
