Horses have been an elemental component of Spain's history for years. As Spain is a numerous country with loads of different landscapes from bright Mediterranean shores to the snow-capped tops of the Pyrenees, a pony is great for negotiating the varied terrain. The Costa Blanca is ideal riding country as there's really such a range of landscapes here. On your ride you will encounter pine forests, salt lakes, golden beaches and citrus groves. The Costa Blanca has a variety of riding stables inland which provide schooling as well as expeditions. The stables are open all of the year round and there are facilities at lots of them to stay overnight if you are going on longer expeditions or riding holidays. A typical trek costs approximately 20 EU$ an hour with reductions for group bookings and should you happen to feel you want to learn a little more, then individual schooling starts at 15 euros an hour. The journeys on offer are applicable for all the family including kids from 6 years and upwards.

More families are discovering the glories of pony riding when on in Spain chasing COSTA BLANCA PROPERTY. There are a variety of riding schools and stables available in the area. One to be commended is the categorical one to be found behind the Excalibur Medieval Castle in Albir. There are trips every day on a light route that takes you through pine forests up towards the Sierra Helada Mountains and then back to the stables. This excursion lasts an hour and costs approximately 20 ECU Greenbacks and riding hats are supplied for each rider. Another 1 hour excursion takes you along a riding trail with superb viewpoints of the Sierra d ' Atlanta Mountains and peeks of Benidorm's 'mini-Manhattan ' skyline. The route goes through the Country's Park of Sierra Helada and is controlled by English chatting riding instructors.
