The U.S. Military is the strongest force in this modern age. The U.S. Army is one of its military services used for land based warfare. The Army came into service on 1775. George Washington was the first commander of the U.S. Army. The U.S. Army has fought and won many famous battles like WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Persian Gulf War, War in Iraq and Afghanistan. The ranking of soldiers for the Army starts from Infantry Men, Second Lieutenant, First Lieutenant, Capitan, Major, Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel, Brigadier General, Major General, Lieutenant General, General and Army General which is the highest ranking in the U.S. Military. The U.S. Navy is a military service used for water based warfare. The U.S. Navy came to service in 1797. The Navy has seen much action during WWII, Cold War to the present day war in the Middle East. The U.S. Navy uses the latest in weaponry and has a verity of land, air and water divisions at their disposal. Some of their on-shore and off-shore fighting tactics include Aircraft Carriers, Aircrafts, Warships, Destroyers, Submarines and number of small fleets ready for action. Fleet Admiral is the highest ranking officer in the Navy and Seamen recruit is the basic rank given to an officer joining the Navy. The U.S. Air Force is the Arial Warfare service of the U.S. Military. This service was a later addition to the U.S. Military; it came into service on 18 September 1947. The Air force has the most amazing collection of jet fighters in the world. The B-2 Bomber is the most expensive jet fighter built and it cannot be detected on radar. The main objective of the Air force is used mainly for Reconnaissance, Observation, Search and rescue missions and Nuclear Warfare operations. The U.S. Air force heads and plays a vital role in the department of defense. The basic rank when a person joins the Air force is Airman Basic and the highest ranking officer in the U.S. Air force is The Air Force General. The U.S. Marine Corps is the only service that deals with all three warfare like land, air and water. The U.S. Marine Corps came into service on the same as the U.S. Army in 1775. This is the most successful armed service of the military, in the year 1834 the Marine Corps became an extended arm of the U.S. Navy, and has its headquarters in The Pentagon. The USMC has engaged in battles, starting from the American Revolutionary War to the current war in Afghanistan. The USMC also plays a huge role on The War against Terror. The basic rank for an officer in the Marine is Private and the highest ranking officer is the General. The U.S. Coast Guard is the part of the Military services, and is an extended arm of the U.S. Army. The USCG has been part of the U.S. Military services since 1790. This service was founded by Alexander Hamilton. The USCG service’s main objective is to guard the United States coast lines form insurgent attacks. The USCG has played a vital role in all the major wars fought by the U.S. In the present day USCG’s main objective is to stop Drug Trafficking in the U.S. The USCG patrols the Gulf of Mexico in order to stop the Drug being smuggled by sea from South America.
